Day 2  We will ascend by lift to Palinkopf (9,400'). We then descend to the next cable car to the summit of Piz Val Gronda, and the border with Switzerland. We descend off piste southwest to our lodging at the Heidelberger hut (7,426').

Day 3 & 4  We will tour up a small glacier to the Kronenjoch pass on the border with Switzerland. The Breite Krone ascent can be done before we descend to the Jamtal hut (7,100'). We will spend two days here and explore the area's fantastic remote ski descents - The Gemsspitz (10,191') and the Hinter Jamspitz (10,191').

Day 5  We will ski to the Wiesbadener hut crossing from the Tirol to the Vorarlberg region through incomparable alpine scenery. The heart of the Silvretta region offers possible ascents / descents of the Dreiländerspitze (10,486 feet) and Piz Buin (10,866') and time permitting, accomplish an ascent of the Fuorcla dal Cunfin or the Tirnderspitze (10,486').

Day 6  We will ascend approximately 1,000 feet for our last day then descending the slopes of the Bieltaljoch and down the north face of the Bieltal (valley) with our destination of Wirl where we will transfer to our last night's hotel lodging before the rail trip back to Zurich the following day.

Day 7  Breakfast and rail journey back to Zurich airport.

The complete trip is approximately 60 kilometers (with additional side touring optional) and will ascend and descend 15-20,000 feet (some of that by lift!) over the duration of the tour. The region, while remote, offers good access to lifts to accomplish the tour and plenty of "weather options" should conditions not be favorable. The beginning and end of the tour will be comfortable hotel lodging. The huts have access to showers and they are run by both the German and Austrian Alpine clubs - providing good food, comfortable dorm style sleeping arrangements, and much camaraderie each night
